What is online Transaction? : Online transaction or e-payments is payments methods in which the transfer of fund or money happens online over electronic fund transfer. E payment is Electronic payments are secure real time payments that transfer funds via the Internet between a consumer and the buyers. In other word The transactions over the internet are called Online , Transactions E-payments are either debit or credit payments that are processed entirely electronically with the value passing from one bank account to another bank account. 

Like purchasing of goods, selling of goods, booking a ticket, payment of fees etc. all comes under the category of Online transactions

  • For Buying Goods :- amazon, jabong, myntra, flipkart , ebay etc.
  • For Booking of Tickets :- IRCTC , Redbus etc.
  • For Payment of School Fee :- epay.unionbankofindia.co.in/kvfee

Payments tools to use Online transaction

For completing an online transaction we must need:-

  • Valid Debit Card
  • Valid Credit Card
  • Net Banking Subscription


Document required or e document required for e-payment;

Digital Order: is sent by the Payment client to the Payment Server to provide transaction information.

Digital Receipt: is sent from the payment server to the Payment clinet to indicate the outcome of the Transaction. 

A Transaction is the combination of a Digital Order and A Digital Receipt.

E-shopping: These days, you can buy virtually anything and everything online. E-Shopping or online shopping, in simple words, means buying something over the Internet. When you select items and place order to buy some item on a website or through a mobile app, it is called e-shopping

E-shopping Involve: 

Selecting Item to be purchased: Browsing the items listed on website or on mobile app which you want to purchase or Add to e-shopping cart.

Placing order for the selected item: Placing order with the selling company for the items in your shopping cart. with complete details like delivery address 

Making payments for the order: Making payment online and cash on delivery after confirmation of address.

E-ticketing:

E-ticketing refers to obtaining a ticket by online means. An e-ticket or an electronics ticket is an electronic version of a regular printed ticket. Electronic ticketing is the process of making e-tickets available without any need for printed tickets

These days you can buy e-ticketing for many facilities like:

  • watching movies
  • watching matches
  • watching theatre plays
  • attending events
  • travelling by air
  • travelling by Train.

To buy e-ticket, you need to fulfill following two requirements:

  • Access to the Internet
  • Online payment facility 
How to Fulfill the requirements one can book an e-ticket as follows
  • Log into a site that provides online booking system eg. BookMyShow.com
  • Provide details about the day/time/seating type etc.
  • The website will display the available choices. Make a choice and confirm by submitting your detail
  • Make payment as per the directions of the website
  • after the e-payment as per the directions for the website will show the e-ticket on screen, which you can print or save
